Class One: Organize your Photos with Free Desktop Software
In this class we are going to discuss how to use the various organization tools in Picasa to group your photos, tag them by keywords, enter location data, and use the face-recognition software to identify friends and loved ones in your pictures.

Download Google Picasa for Mac, Windows or Linux. Why? Because it has a similar feature set to Apple’s iPhoto, but it works on all desktop operating systems and brings some unique features to the table that iPhoto can’t catch. Trust me, you’ll like it….
The Initial Scan
Picasa scans through your whole computer to find image files to organize. At first this process can take a long time, but let it do it’s thing. Once you start seeing your images in Picasa, we can start organizing.
